Day 16 of “A 30 Day Journey into Stillness”
Staying on the Inside of who we are together — by whatever name you might call it — is where the magnificent beauty of our connection to the Whole emerges. It is constantly emerging and wishing for us to join “It.” This is the “seed” of our Yearning. This is our deep Longing to belong to the Whole. There are those in many disciplines that are arriving at the same recognition: We are One; we have forgotten; but together we can re-member (ourselves).
The following comment is from a Dr. Tiller, a professor of “Material Science” at Stanford University (from his paper “What is Human Consciousness and How Do We Significantly Increase Its Magnitude in Our World?”)
“One part of the system is dependent upon the others and collectively we form a species. The important thing to remember is that all members of the ensemble are part of the One—the whole system is ourselves. In part, I am you and you are me. That which I do reflects your growth and that which you do reflects mine.” (Bold is mine.)
Does this not sound like Jesus message to the world 2000+ years ago? “Love your neighbour as yourself,” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” “I and my Father (Absolute Reality) are One,” etc., etc…..
It is also the message of Vedanta (Hindu) texts and the sacred Bhagavad Gita: “The One in the Many, and the Many in the One.”
Boggles the ordinary mind doesn’t it? … It’s meant to do just that. 🙂
